What Exactly Are Colors?
Colors can be a representation of anything even if they're on a fast food logo or a pair of cool socks. To some this may be a boring lecture you'd get in school, but there are hundreds of colors.
Each color even has it's own background and meaning behind it! You may even be more inclined to certain colors and would buy cushion socks or other clothes that relate to that color.
If you look at your closet or other areas you may see a certain color or a bunch of shades. You may be thinking, what exactly a shade is well it's black, white, and grays.
Blacks, greys, and whites are usually used alone but they're also used with colors to creates shades and tints! Creating even more possibilities to choose from!
There is an endless number of variety when you decide to pick a specific color. There are even more if you factor in the variations of colors certain animals see.
We have three color receptors which are red, green, and blue, that makes 3. Shrimp can have up to 16 color receptors! Think of all the possibilities with that range!
Although, we can't see that many colors so we'll stick with what we do see, hundreds of different variations of 3 colors!
How Does Each Color Relate To One Another?
If you want to know how each color is connected than get ready! Everything starts with a primary color, either Red, Yellow, or Blue.
If you combine two primary's, you get a secondary color. Those are Green, Violet, and Orange. Now if you add a primary and secondary you get a tertiary!
Now tertiary colors are just named after the two combined colors so blue-green or red-orange. Pretty easy to remember if you ask me.
Now if you want to get fancy there are a hundred more that get weirdly specific. Some can be like Barbie Pink with corresponding dates, Eggplant, or even just Sea.
If you type in a word with color after it, you'll get a lot of results. You can type in any word in a color generator and it will most likely come up with a certain color.
Try it out for yourself and see what you can come up with! Maybe you'll find one you like and paint some furniture or a room that color. You might even look for some cool socks or other clothes that have that color in it.
Tints, Tones, Shades, Hues, WHAT?

Now a hue is just a basic color, Any pure color like a primary or secondary color is considered a hue. Mainly because it's a simple color without anything extra added.
A tint is any color plus white, if you love pastel colors than you're a fan of tints. Although, It's not like tinted windows where it gets darker, think of the opposite, so the color gets lighter!
Tones are added with either brown or grey (not black). These usually make the color look muddy or muted. The best example would be a mustard yellow, or just dirt brown!
Now shades are anything with black in it, so any color that's dark. Basically anything you see at night with dim lights could be considered a shade. As you're looking at it you can see color but just barely, that's a shade!
Try to associate the meaning with something positive or negative, depending on the meaning. So remember tints by thinking of pastels, or shades as a shady person who you dislike (negative=dark).
